About Us - Who We Are
The Tarjan Center Service Inclusion Project at the University of California, Los Angeles in partnership with the Corporation for National & Community Service, and the Hands on Network, support the active engagement of people with disabilities as service members and volunteers.

The Tarjan Center is one of sixty-seven University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities located in major universities throughout the United States. We are committed to providing leadership in education, research and innovative practices that supports the quality of life and community inclusion of all people with disabilities.

The goals of the Tarjan Center Service Inclusion Project are to:
  • increase the capacity of service and volunteer programs in California include individuals with disabilities
  • facilitate partnerships between service and volunteer programs and disability stakeholders
