Topic: Martin Sweeny, of the AT Network (www.atnet.org), will facilitate a FREE interactive workshop on the use of Assistive Technology (AT) in volunteerism.

Please Bring:
--An open mind, Assistive Technology doesn’t have to be expensive or scary!
--Volunteer success stories & reflections on the Sacramento LINC
--Information about your volunteer opportunities and upcoming events (enough for 30 people)

This meeting is for you if you want to learn about:
--Using AT as a tool to help your volunteers be successful
--Making your volunteer opportunities/events accessible
--Creative funding strategies and low-cost adaptations

AccessToCare Conference 2008
August 22 and 23, 2008

Location: Bayside Church
Sacramento, CA

Bayside Church and Through The Roof ministries presents the 4th Annual AccessToCare Conference, the only event of its kind in Northern California!

This year, AccessToCare will span two days – August 22 and 23. The highlights include:
* Exhibitor expo with over 70 special needs, disability, and health-related organizations including non-profit and government agencies
* Several special needs-related seminars
* Childcare with creative activities
* Various health screenings
* Wheelchair collection drive for Wheels for the World
* Wheelchair safety and tune-up clinic
* Inspiring Ms. Wheelchair California, Shannon Coe, on hand to sign publicity photos
All free to anyone who wishes to come!

Our purpose for hosting an event of this magnitude remains the same - we wish to:
*Provide our community with valuable health and special needs information and services
* Heighten awareness and understanding of people with various challenges
*Team up with Wheels for the World to collect used mobility equipment for global distribution
*Offer seminars focused on special needs-related, relevant topic

Event Schedule:
Friday, August 22, 12:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday, August 23, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
